About the library
Alexander County, “The Gem of North Carolina” is located in the Foothills of western NC. In the quaint town of Taylorsville, the Alexander County Library is conveniently located one block from the Courthouse and Post Office. Director, Laura Crooks, and the library staff invite you to visit!
The mission of the Alexander County Library is to improve the quality of life in Alexander County by providing the best library services, collections, and programs possible, in accordance with the library’s role as an educational institution.
The Alexander County Library has served this area since 1967, and, currently, over 16,000 people are cardholders.
